Over the years, as technologies developed or new technologies were added to the shoes, weight was added to Hoka's Clifton model. To counteract this, these new versions of the Clifton have been made a little lighter. Instead of the 266 grams of its predecessor, these Clifton 6s weigh approximately 255 grams.
The updated upper is made of Engineered Mesh material. This material is softer than that of the Clifton 5 and encloses the feet better. The high breathability of the upper keeps your feet comfortable during all runs. A more robust part has been added in the midfoot to increase the feeling of support of the feet.
The midsole is a little softer. It's still made of EVA cushioning material along the entire length of the sole, but the shoe's geometry has been adapted to take on this softer feel. The outsole has become more flexible and more durable. Therefore, if used normally, the shoes will last longer. The flexible sole stimulates the transition from heel to toe. The Meta-Rocker offers extra stability when running.
