- THE BENCHMARK OF TRAIL RUNNING When we set out to design the new Stumpjumper, we pursued some important goals. We opted for a frame that is as light as possible without sacrificing strength, a rigidity that provides precise cornering, a geometry for everyone to enjoy, and the best suspension kinematics we know how to design. It turns out that the new Stumpjumper is a treat you can afford.
- 130MM TRAIL-SPECIFIC TRAVEL Having the entire course of the world is useless without the right kinematics, a priority in the new Stumpjumper. With the knowledge gained in the ENDURO's suspension design, and more than 1,000 hours of field and laboratory testing, we have considerably improved that pedaling capacity, absorption, efficiency and agility you expect. We increased the Anti-Squat, so the suspension better cancels out the pedaling roll, and we also further improve its ability to absorb sudden impacts. Conclusion? The new Stumpjumper descends with full control but climbs with ease.
- AVANT-GARDE GEOMETRY The S-Sizing geometry of the new Stumpjumper is at the forefront. Long, low, launched, fork with little progress, a more vertical seat tube... It is on everyone's lips because it offers better behavior. Thanks to the Flip Chip system you can further fine-tune the geometry to your style, ensuring that your new Stumpjumper offers perfect handling on any terrain you choose.
- RIDER-FIRST ENGINEERED® Rider-First Engineered® frames are designed around size for perfect handling. So, whether you require a tiny size S1, or a huge S6, you will experience the same behavior, cornering, balance between the front and rear axle, with the lowest possible weight. And by lightness, we mean the real thing: 2,250 grams (S-Works, size S-3, with rear shock absorber).
- SWAT® When we introduced the SWAT gate on the 2016 Stumpjumper, we increased the size of the receptacle and increased the space for those p#%s refills. In the new Stumpjumper we have kept those features, but increased the volume and added a SWAT® bladder, which gives you an additional 650 ml of water hidden in the down tube. Yes, the same amount as a small jerry can.
