The Eagle AXS™ is so smart that it is self-protective thanks to its Overload Clutch protection and incredible resilience. In the event of an impact, the gearbox disengages and allows the gearbox to move freely, and automatically returns to its place, so the rider does not notice anything. The main purpose of the Overload Clutch is to protect the shifting motor, but it also has the secondary benefit of protecting the derailleur and hanger. A very useful side benefit.
